School Based Mental Health Services

Meeting children where they’re at by offering services in the schools.

ADAPT is RMHC’s school-based mental health program. Our practitioners and professionals provide community and school-based mental health services in school districts within St. Louis County.

Children’s Therapeutic Service and Support (CTSS) is designed to provide an array of services to help children resolve social, emotional and behavioral problems that hinder their school performance and/or functioning in their home and community. Therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions are provided to teach self-regulation, organization, communication and socialization skill that promote improved functioning and interactions.

Primary prevention and intervention efforts focus on early childhood, elementary, and secondary age youth. We work collaboratively with other agencies to assist children and families with special needs, provide year-round prevention and intervention services, and provide mental health services to individual youth, groups, and families. ADAPT serves children pre-kindergarten through high school.

Our services include:

  • Coordination of services between home, school, and other agencies
  • Individual/Group Skills Training
  • Suicide prevention / intervention
  • Grief counseling
  • Case management
  • Comprehensive Evaluation
  • Crisis intervention
