Clinical Interests: Over the years, I worked at Prairie Care Medical Group in the metro, specifically serving the Serious and Persistent Mental Illness and Serious Mental Illness population. (SPMI/SMI). She is also an affiliate faculty for the Doctor of Nursing Program (DNP) psychiatry program at the University of Minnesota, and regularly presents to groups and agencies on everything mental health. She decided to join Range Mental Health Center because of her passion in rural community mental health

Hobbies: Outside of the office you can find Dr. Barger spending time outdoors on the lake kayaking, camping, and enjoying nature. She also enjoys traveling and has visited all 7 continents
When did you join RMHC? April 2024
Why do you work at RMHC? When I learned RMHC was the first mental health center on the Iron Range, I felt excited and knew this was a community that I wanted to be a part of. I’m proud to join the care team at RMHC and look forward to helping improve the lives of others on the Iron Range.
